ROYAL COPENHAGEN BING&GRONDAHL PORCELAIN FIGURINE “Children Reading” 1021402
The Bing&Grondahl opposing figurine is titled “Children Reading” and is identified by the code “1567 “. It was designed by Ingeborg Plockross Irminger and, as can be seen from the brand under the base, it was produced between 1962 and 1970.
The figurine measures 10 cm in height with a footprint of 10 x 10 cm and to guarantee authenticity bears the mark of Bing&Grondahl with the three towers, inspired by the emblem of the city of Copenhagen, and the initials of the painter.
“Royal Copenhagen” and “Bing & Grondahl” is made exclusively by hand in accordce with ancient traditions. The production process passes through the expert hands of numerous artisans: the pasta is poured into the Moldovas and then the different parts of the figurine are united. The carvings are done with a steady hand and after the first firing in the oven the figurines are decorated and glazed by hand. After a new baking and careful quality control, the figurines are ready to be admired all over the world.
Each figurine is therefore a unique work produced by hand.
